1. Bookings & Payment

• Confirmation: A booking is formally confirmed upon Castluma's receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit for the agreed-upon services.
• Final Balance: The remaining balance of the total invoice is due in full upon delivery of the final, edited image files to the Client.
• Payment Methods: We currently accept payments via secure Bank Transfer. Details will be provided on the invoice.
• Late Payments: Invoices not settled within 14 days of the due date may be subject to a late payment fee of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.

2. Image Licensing & Usage

Understanding image rights is paramount. Castluma maintains a clear policy to protect both our artistic integrity and your investment. This section is governed by UK intellectual property law.

• Copyright: Castluma retains full copyright of all photographic images created during the commissioned project. This is standard industry practice.
• Client License: The Client is granted a specific, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for usage as explicitly detailed in the project quote. Typical usage licenses include web marketing, social media, and internal corporate use for a specified duration (e.g., 'for web marketing, social media, and internal use for 5 years').
• Third-Party Usage: Any usage of the commissioned images by a third party (e.g., architects, designers, builders, magazines, advertising agencies) requires a separate license agreement and associated fee directly with Castluma. The Client must not sublicense or distribute images to third parties without prior written consent.
• Award Submissions: Use of images for award submissions is permitted, provided that Castluma is credited prominently (e.g., 'Photography by Castluma').
• Modification: Images may not be altered, edited, or cropped in any way beyond standard resizing without prior written approval from Castluma.

3. Cancellations & Postponements

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. Our policy aims to be fair while reflecting booked time and resources.

• Deposit: The 50% booking deposit is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled shoot date may incur the full agreed-upon fee for the project, in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
• Postponements (Weather): For exterior or drone photography shoots, postponements requested due to adverse weather conditions will be rescheduled at no additional cost where feasible and mutually agreeable.
• Other Postponements: Postponements for reasons other than weather, made within 48 hours of the shoot, may incur a rescheduling fee of 25% of the total project cost.
